Frozen First Tour of the Year

Sunday Feb. 18, 2007 Baltimore St

The Gettysburg area was buried under snow and ice after the first real winter storm hit last week. But that did not stop about 66 diehards from braving the cold weather and taking our Baltimore St. tour. Bill and I bundled up, met this group from southern Georgia and hit the icy streets.

The group was not used to this type of weather but toughed it out anyways. A few of them asked me what the temperature was and I said it was around 20 degrees and with the wind chill it was below 10. The tour only lasted for about 45 minutes as I mercifully ended the walk to cheers voiced through chattering teeth. This probably was not the highlight of their trip, but it is something they are going to tell everyone about. "You won't believe it, we went on a Ghost tour in 20 degree weather and a foot of snow...."

Looking forward to warmer nights....
